1.21.2: Card previews look like your card again (2026-07-28)

  • The preview image on your cards gallery could save in a damaged state and show as a broken tile. Previews now save correctly, and any card affected regenerates its preview the next time you open it in the editor.

1.21.1: Your card shows only what you add (2026-07-28)

  • Public cards now display only the fields you've added in the editor. Pre-filled contact details were removed from existing cards: if you want your email shown, add it as a field and it appears again.

1.21.0: A Card Page again: invite-only, deletable, private by default (2026-07-27)

  • The app is A Card Page again: the name now matches the address it lives at, acard.page.
  • Creating an account now requires an invite code. Existing accounts sign in exactly as before, and team invite links keep working without a code.
  • You can now delete your account from Settings → Danger zone. It removes your cards, public links, contact book, analytics, and uploaded images: completely and immediately.
  • The privacy policy now says precisely what we store and for how long: card analytics events are individual, anonymous, and automatically deleted after 12 months.
  • Uploaded images can no longer be listed by anonymous visitors: public cards still show their avatars and logos exactly as before.
  • Support and privacy requests now go to acard@sandpipermediagroup.com, including messages sent through the contact form.

1.20.0: A real phone app: faster, coarser, installable (2026-07-19)

  • Install HotCard to your home screen and it opens straight to your cards, with proper splash screens on iPhone.
  • The whole app got a mobile makeover: bigger touch targets, no wasted header space, and a bottom bar that respects your phone's home indicator.
  • Your cards are full-width on your phone: tap one to edit it, tap the QR button to share it.
  • A Preview button in the editor shows exactly what you're about to save.
  • Contacts read like a notebook now: newest first, grouped by when you met: Today, Yesterday, and back through the months. Opening one shows a clean note with tap-to-email and tap-to-call.
  • Buttons throughout the app now carry your accent color, and the current tab lights up clearly in dark mode.
  • Everything loads noticeably faster, especially moving between pages.
  • If you're already signed in, links take you straight into the app instead of asking you to sign in again.

1.19.0: Contacts that stay current, cards that preview like cards (2026-07-18)

  • Link a contact to their card and it auto-updates in your contact book: name, title, and details stay current, Apple-style. Stop syncing any time; they keep a frozen copy.
  • Your card's settings show who auto-updates from your card, and you can stop any of them individually. Resetting your link stops all of them at once.
  • Adding a contact you already have (same email or phone) now updates that contact instead of creating a duplicate.
  • Card collection tiles now show the top of your actual card, so tapping one feels like expanding it.
  • Field rows on your card now carry their icons: GitHub, LinkedIn, phone, email, and the rest: tinted to match your theme.
  • Plan limits now gray out the New card button instead of showing a warning banner.
  • Clearer, friendlier wording throughout card settings, and empty screens now sit centered where your eye expects them.

  • Your collection now shows compact, standard-proportion business cards instead of tall placeholders.
